INGREDIENTS:
- 13 ounces of fine chopped semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 2 cups of thick cream
For the chocolate cake you will require:
- 1.5 cups of all purpose flour (maida)
- 1.5 teaspoons of sugar grains
- 1.5 teaspoons of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 8/4 cup of cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- A ¼ cup of vegetable oil
- A ¾ cup of water
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
RECIPE:
CHOCOLATE FROSTING
- Chop and put the chocolates in a heat resistant bowl. Mix heavy cream and butter in a saucepan and cook on the medium heat. Don’t forget to stir it simultaneously.
- Pour the hot cream on the chopped chocolate and wrap the bowl with the plastic sheet to keep it aside for about 5 minutes. Stir the batter gently and let it sit overnight.
CHOCOLATE CAKE
- Pre-heat the oven at 350 F and grease the round pan with oil and dust some cocoa powder in it before the preparation of the cake.
- Take a bowl and put flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to form a mixture. Add eggs, oil, buttermilk, and vanilla into another bowl of medium size and slowly add the hot water and whisk simultaneously to get the right consistency.
- Combine the dry and the wet batter to create a thin mixture. Pour the batter in the pan and bake it for about 30 minutes. Once cool, move on to the assembling part.
ASSEMBLE
